سَنُلْقِى

sanul'qī

We will cast

فِى

fī

in

قُلُوبِ

qulūbi

(the) hearts

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

(of) those who

كَفَرُوا۟

kafarū

disbelieve

ٱلرُّعْبَ

l-ruʿ'ba

[the] terror

بِمَآ

bimā

because

أَشْرَكُوا۟

ashrakū

they associated partners

بِٱللَّهِ

bil-lahi

with Allah

مَا

mā

what

لَمْ

lam

not

يُنَزِّلْ

yunazzil

He sent down

بِهِۦ

bihi

about it

سُلْطَـٰنًۭا ۖ

sul'ṭānan

any authority

وَمَأْوَىٰهُمُ

wamawāhumu

and their refuge

ٱلنَّارُ ۚ

l-nāru

(will be) the Fire

وَبِئْسَ

wabi'sa

and wretched

مَثْوَى

mathwā

(is the) abode

ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

l-ẓālimīna

[of] the wrongdoers

وَلَقَدْ

walaqad

And certainly

صَدَقَكُمُ

ṣadaqakumu

fulfilled to you

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

وَعْدَهُۥٓ

waʿdahu

His promise

إِذْ

idh

when

تَحُسُّونَهُم

taḥussūnahum

you were killing them

بِإِذْنِهِۦ ۖ

bi-idh'nihi

by His permission

حَتَّىٰٓ

ḥattā

until

إِذَا

idhā

when

فَشِلْتُمْ

fashil'tum

you lost courage

وَتَنَـٰزَعْتُمْ

watanāzaʿtum

and you fell into dispute

فِى

fī

concerning

ٱلْأَمْرِ

l-amri

the order

وَعَصَيْتُم

waʿaṣaytum

and you disobeyed

مِّنۢ

min

from

بَعْدِ

baʿdi

after

مَآ

mā

[what]

أَرَىٰكُم

arākum

He (had) shown you

مَّا

mā

what

تُحِبُّونَ ۚ

tuḥibbūna

you love

مِنكُم

minkum

Among you

مَّن

man

(are some) who

يُرِيدُ

yurīdu

desire

ٱلدُّنْيَا

l-dun'yā

the world

وَمِنكُم

waminkum

and among you

مَّن

man

(are some) who

يُرِيدُ

yurīdu

desire

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ ۚ

l-ākhirata

the Hereafter

ثُمَّ

thumma

Then

صَرَفَكُمْ

ṣarafakum

He diverted you

عَنْهُمْ

ʿanhum

from them

لِيَبْتَلِيَكُمْ ۖ

liyabtaliyakum

so that He may test you

وَلَقَدْ

walaqad

And surely

عَفَا

ʿafā

He forgave

عَنكُمْ ۗ

ʿankum

you

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

ذُو

dhū

(is the) Possessor

فَضْلٍ

faḍlin

(of) Bounty

عَلَى

ʿalā

for

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

l-mu'minīna

the believers

۞ إِذْ

idh

When

تُصْعِدُونَ

tuṣ'ʿidūna

you were running uphill

وَلَا

walā

and not

تَلْوُۥنَ

talwūna

casting a glance

عَلَىٰٓ

ʿalā

on

أَحَدٍۢ

aḥadin

anyone

وَٱلرَّسُولُ

wal-rasūlu

while the Messenger

يَدْعُوكُمْ

yadʿūkum

was calling you

فِىٓ

fī

[in]

أُخْرَىٰكُمْ

ukh'rākum

(from) behind you

فَأَثَـٰبَكُمْ

fa-athābakum

So (He) repaid you

غَمًّۢا

ghamman

(with) distress

بِغَمٍّۢ

bighammin

on distress

لِّكَيْلَا

likaylā

so that not

تَحْزَنُوا۟

taḥzanū

you grieve

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

over

مَا

mā

what

فَاتَكُمْ

fātakum

escaped you

وَلَا

walā

and not

مَآ

mā

what

أَصَـٰبَكُمْ ۗ

aṣābakum

(had) befallen you

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

خَبِيرٌۢ

khabīrun

(is) All-Aware

بِمَا

bimā

of what

تَعْمَلُونَ

taʿmalūna

you do

ثُمَّ

thumma

Then

أَنزَلَ

anzala

He sent down

عَلَيْكُم

ʿalaykum

upon you

مِّنۢ

min

from

بَعْدِ

baʿdi

after

ٱلْغَمِّ

l-ghami

the distress

أَمَنَةًۭ

amanatan

security

نُّعَاسًۭا

nuʿāsan

slumber

يَغْشَىٰ

yaghshā

overcoming

طَآئِفَةًۭ

ṭāifatan

a group

مِّنكُمْ ۖ

minkum

of you

وَطَآئِفَةٌۭ

waṭāifatun

while a group

قَدْ

qad

certainly

أَهَمَّتْهُمْ

ahammathum

worried [them]

أَنفُسُهُمْ

anfusuhum

(about) themselves

يَظُنُّونَ

yaẓunnūna

thinking

بِٱللَّهِ

bil-lahi

about Allah

غَيْرَ

ghayra

other than

ٱلْحَقِّ

l-ḥaqi

the truth

ظَنَّ

ẓanna

(the) thought

ٱلْجَـٰهِلِيَّةِ ۖ

l-jāhiliyati

(of) [the] ignorance

يَقُولُونَ

yaqūlūna

saying

هَل

hal

Is (there)

لَّنَا

lanā

for us

مِنَ

mina

from

ٱلْأَمْرِ

l-amri

the matter

مِن

min

any

شَىْءٍۢ ۗ

shayin

thing

قُلْ

qul

Say

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلْأَمْرَ

l-amra

the matter

كُلَّهُۥ

kullahu

all (of) it

لِلَّهِ ۗ

lillahi

(is) for Allah

يُخْفُونَ

yukh'fūna

They hide

فِىٓ

fī

in

أَنفُسِهِم

anfusihim

themselves

مَّا

mā

what

لَا

lā

not

يُبْدُونَ

yub'dūna

they reveal

لَكَ ۖ

laka

to you

يَقُولُونَ

yaqūlūna

They say

لَوْ

law

If

كَانَ

kāna

was

لَنَا

lanā

for us

مِنَ

mina

from

ٱلْأَمْرِ

l-amri

the matter

شَىْءٌۭ

shayon

anything

مَّا

mā

not

قُتِلْنَا

qutil'nā

we would have been killed

هَـٰهُنَا ۗ

hāhunā

here

قُل

qul

Say

لَّوْ

law

If

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you were

فِى

fī

in

بُيُوتِكُمْ

buyūtikum

your houses

لَبَرَزَ

labaraza

surely (would have) come out

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

كُتِبَ

kutiba

was decreed

عَلَيْهِمُ

ʿalayhimu

upon them

ٱلْقَتْلُ

l-qatlu

[the] death

إِلَىٰ

ilā

towards

مَضَاجِعِهِمْ ۖ

maḍājiʿihim

their places of death

وَلِيَبْتَلِىَ

waliyabtaliya

And that might test

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

مَا

mā

what

فِى

fī

(is) in

صُدُورِكُمْ

ṣudūrikum

your breasts

وَلِيُمَحِّصَ

waliyumaḥḥiṣa

and that He may purge

مَا

mā

what

فِى

fī

(is) in

قُلُوبِكُمْ ۗ

qulūbikum

your hearts

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

عَلِيمٌۢ

ʿalīmun

(is) All-Aware

بِذَاتِ

bidhāti

of what

ٱلصُّدُورِ

l-ṣudūri

(is in) the breasts

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

تَوَلَّوْا۟

tawallaw

turned back

مِنكُمْ

minkum

among you

يَوْمَ

yawma

(on the) day

ٱلْتَقَى

l-taqā

met

ٱلْجَمْعَانِ

l-jamʿāni

the two hosts

إِنَّمَا

innamā

only

ٱسْتَزَلَّهُمُ

is'tazallahumu

made them slip

ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ

l-shayṭānu

the Shaitaan

بِبَعْضِ

bibaʿḍi

for some

مَا

mā

(of) what

كَسَبُوا۟ ۖ

kasabū

they (had) earned

وَلَقَدْ

walaqad

And surely

عَفَا

ʿafā

forgave

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

عَنْهُمْ ۗ

ʿanhum

[on] them

إِنَّ

inna

indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

غَفُورٌ

ghafūrun

(is) Oft-Forgiving

حَلِيمٌۭ

ḥalīmun

All-Forbearing

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

yāayyuhā

O you

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

who

ءَامَنُوا۟

āmanū

believe[d]

لَا

lā

(Do) not

تَكُونُوا۟

takūnū

be

كَٱلَّذِينَ

ka-alladhīna

like those who

كَفَرُوا۟

kafarū

disbelieved

وَقَالُوا۟

waqālū

and they said

لِإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ

li-ikh'wānihim

about their brothers

إِذَا

idhā

when

ضَرَبُوا۟

ḍarabū

they traveled

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْأَرْضِ

l-arḍi

the earth

أَوْ

aw

or

كَانُوا۟

kānū

they were

غُزًّۭى

ghuzzan

fighting

لَّوْ

law

If

كَانُوا۟

kānū

they had been

عِندَنَا

ʿindanā

with us

مَا

mā

not

مَاتُوا۟

mātū

they (would have) died

وَمَا

wamā

and not

قُتِلُوا۟

qutilū

they (would have) been killed

لِيَجْعَلَ

liyajʿala

So makes

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

ذَٰلِكَ

dhālika

that

حَسْرَةًۭ

ḥasratan

a regret

فِى

fī

in

قُلُوبِهِمْ ۗ

qulūbihim

their hearts

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

يُحْىِۦ

yuḥ'yī

gives life

وَيُمِيتُ ۗ

wayumītu

and causes death

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

and Allah

بِمَا

bimā

of what

تَعْمَلُونَ

taʿmalūna

you do

بَصِيرٌۭ

baṣīrun

(is) All-Seer

وَلَئِن

wala-in

And if

قُتِلْتُمْ

qutil'tum

you are killed

فِى

fī

in

سَبِيلِ

sabīli

(the) way

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

أَوْ

aw

or

مُتُّمْ

muttum

die[d]

لَمَغْفِرَةٌۭ

lamaghfiratun

certainly forgiveness

مِّنَ

mina

from

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

وَرَحْمَةٌ

waraḥmatun

and Mercy

خَيْرٌۭ

khayrun

(are) better

مِّمَّا

mimmā

than what

يَجْمَعُونَ

yajmaʿūna

they accumulate

وَلَئِن

wala-in

And if

مُّتُّمْ

muttum

you die

أَوْ

aw

or

قُتِلْتُمْ

qutil'tum

are killed

لَإِلَى

la-ilā

surely to

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

تُحْشَرُونَ

tuḥ'sharūna

you will be gathered

فَبِمَا

fabimā

So because

رَحْمَةٍۢ

raḥmatin

(of) Mercy

مِّنَ

mina

from

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

لِنتَ

linta

you dealt gently

لَهُمْ ۖ

lahum

with them

وَلَوْ

walaw

And if

كُنتَ

kunta

you had been

فَظًّا

faẓẓan

rude

غَلِيظَ

ghalīẓa

(and) harsh

ٱلْقَلْبِ

l-qalbi

(at) [the] heart

لَٱنفَضُّوا۟

la-infaḍḍū

surely they (would have) dispersed

مِنْ

min

from

حَوْلِكَ ۖ

ḥawlika

around you

فَٱعْفُ

fa-uʿ'fu

Then pardon

عَنْهُمْ

ʿanhum

[from] them

وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ

wa-is'taghfir

and ask forgiveness

لَهُمْ

lahum

for them

وَشَاوِرْهُمْ

washāwir'hum

and consult them

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْأَمْرِ ۖ

l-amri

the matter

فَإِذَا

fa-idhā

Then when

عَزَمْتَ

ʿazamta

you have decided

فَتَوَكَّلْ

fatawakkal

then put trust

عَلَى

ʿalā

on

ٱللَّهِ ۚ

l-lahi

Allah

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

يُحِبُّ

yuḥibbu

loves

ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ

l-mutawakilīna

the ones who put trust (in Him)

إِن

in

If

يَنصُرْكُمُ

yanṣur'kumu

helps you

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

فَلَا

falā

then not

غَالِبَ

ghāliba

(can) overcome

لَكُمْ ۖ

lakum

[for] you

وَإِن

wa-in

and if

يَخْذُلْكُمْ

yakhdhul'kum

He forsakes you

فَمَن

faman

then who

ذَا

dhā

(is)

ٱلَّذِى

alladhī

the one who

يَنصُرُكُم

yanṣurukum

can help you

مِّنۢ

min

from

بَعْدِهِۦ ۗ

baʿdihi

after Him

وَعَلَى

waʿalā

And on

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ

falyatawakkali

let put (their) trust

ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ

l-mu'minūna

the believers

وَمَا

wamā

And not

كَانَ

kāna

is

لِنَبِىٍّ

linabiyyin

for a Prophet

أَن

an

that

يَغُلَّ ۚ

yaghulla

he defrauds

وَمَن

waman

And whoever

يَغْلُلْ

yaghlul

defrauds

يَأْتِ

yati

will bring

بِمَا

bimā

what

غَلَّ

ghalla

he had defrauded

يَوْمَ

yawma

(on the) Day

ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚ

l-qiyāmati

(of) Resurrection

ثُمَّ

thumma

Then

تُوَفَّىٰ

tuwaffā

is repaid in full

كُلُّ

kullu

every

نَفْسٍۢ

nafsin

soul

مَّا

mā

what

كَسَبَتْ

kasabat

it earned

وَهُمْ

wahum

and they

لَا

lā

(will) not

يُظْلَمُونَ

yuẓ'lamūna

be wronged

أَفَمَنِ

afamani

So is (the one) who

ٱتَّبَعَ

ittabaʿa

pursues

رِضْوَٰنَ

riḍ'wāna

(the) pleasure

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

كَمَنۢ

kaman

like (the one) who

بَآءَ

bāa

draws

بِسَخَطٍۢ

bisakhaṭin

on (himself) wrath

مِّنَ

mina

of

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

وَمَأْوَىٰهُ

wamawāhu

and his abode

جَهَنَّمُ ۚ

jahannamu

(is) hell

وَبِئْسَ

wabi'sa

and wretched

ٱلْمَصِيرُ

l-maṣīru

(is) the destination

هُمْ

hum

They

دَرَجَـٰتٌ

darajātun

(are in varying) degrees

عِندَ

ʿinda

near

ٱللَّهِ ۗ

l-lahi

Allah

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

and Allah

بَصِيرٌۢ

baṣīrun

(is) All-Seer

بِمَا

bimā

of what

يَعْمَلُونَ

yaʿmalūna

they do

لَقَدْ

laqad

Certainly

مَنَّ

manna

bestowed a Favor

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

عَلَى

ʿalā

upon

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

l-mu'minīna

the believers

إِذْ

idh

as

بَعَثَ

baʿatha

He raised

فِيهِمْ

fīhim

among them

رَسُولًۭا

rasūlan

a Messenger

مِّنْ

min

from

أَنفُسِهِمْ

anfusihim

themselves

يَتْلُوا۟

yatlū

reciting

عَلَيْهِمْ

ʿalayhim

to them

ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ

āyātihi

His Verses

وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ

wayuzakkīhim

and purifying them

وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ

wayuʿallimuhumu

and teaching them

ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ

l-kitāba

the Book

وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ

wal-ḥik'mata

and the wisdom

وَإِن

wa-in

although

كَانُوا۟

kānū

they were

مِن

min

from

قَبْلُ

qablu

before (that)

لَفِى

lafī

certainly in

ضَلَـٰلٍۢ

ḍalālin

(the) error

مُّبِينٍ

mubīnin

clear

أَوَلَمَّآ

awalammā

Or when

أَصَـٰبَتْكُم

aṣābatkum

struck you

مُّصِيبَةٌۭ

muṣībatun

disaster

قَدْ

qad

surely

أَصَبْتُم

aṣabtum

you (had) struck (them)

مِّثْلَيْهَا

mith'layhā

twice of it

قُلْتُمْ

qul'tum

you said

أَنَّىٰ

annā

From where

هَـٰذَا ۖ

hādhā

(is) this

قُلْ

qul

Say

هُوَ

huwa

It

مِنْ

min

(is)

عِندِ

ʿindi

from

أَنفُسِكُمْ ۗ

anfusikum

yourselves

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

(is) on

كُلِّ

kulli

every

شَىْءٍۢ

shayin

thing

قَدِيرٌۭ

qadīrun

All-Powerful

وَمَآ

wamā

And what

أَصَـٰبَكُمْ

aṣābakum

struck you

يَوْمَ

yawma

(on the) day

ٱلْتَقَى

l-taqā

(when) met

ٱلْجَمْعَانِ

l-jamʿāni

the two hosts

فَبِإِذْنِ

fabi-idh'ni

(was) by (the) permission

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

وَلِيَعْلَمَ

waliyaʿlama

and that He (might) make evident

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

l-mu'minīna

the believers

وَلِيَعْلَمَ

waliyaʿlama

And that He (might) make evident

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

نَافَقُوا۟ ۚ

nāfaqū

(are) hypocrites

وَقِيلَ

waqīla

And it was said

لَهُمْ

lahum

to them

تَعَالَوْا۟

taʿālaw

Come

قَـٰتِلُوا۟

qātilū

fight

فِى

fī

in

سَبِيلِ

sabīli

(the) way

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

أَوِ

awi

or

ٱدْفَعُوا۟ ۖ

id'faʿū

defend

قَالُوا۟

qālū

They said

لَوْ

law

If

نَعْلَمُ

naʿlamu

we knew

قِتَالًۭا

qitālan

fighting

لَّٱتَّبَعْنَـٰكُمْ ۗ

la-ittabaʿnākum

certainly we (would have) followed you

هُمْ

hum

They

لِلْكُفْرِ

lil'kuf'ri

to disbelief

يَوْمَئِذٍ

yawma-idhin

that day

أَقْرَبُ

aqrabu

(were) nearer

مِنْهُمْ

min'hum

than [them]

لِلْإِيمَـٰنِ ۚ

lil'īmāni

to the faith

يَقُولُونَ

yaqūlūna

saying

بِأَفْوَٰهِهِم

bi-afwāhihim

with their mouths

مَّا

mā

what

لَيْسَ

laysa

was not

فِى

fī

in

قُلُوبِهِمْ ۗ

qulūbihim

their hearts

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

أَعْلَمُ

aʿlamu

(is) Most Knowing

بِمَا

bimā

of what

يَكْتُمُونَ

yaktumūna

they conceal

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

Those who

قَالُوا۟

qālū

said

لِإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ

li-ikh'wānihim

about their brothers

وَقَعَدُوا۟

waqaʿadū

while they sat

لَوْ

law

If

أَطَاعُونَا

aṭāʿūnā

they (had) obeyed us

مَا

mā

not

قُتِلُوا۟ ۗ

qutilū

they would have been killed

قُلْ

qul

Say

فَٱدْرَءُوا۟

fa-id'raū

Then avert

عَنْ

ʿan

from

أَنفُسِكُمُ

anfusikumu

yourselves

ٱلْمَوْتَ

l-mawta

[the] death

إِن

in

if

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you are

صَـٰدِقِينَ

ṣādiqīna

truthful

وَلَا

walā

And (do) not

تَحْسَبَنَّ

taḥsabanna

think

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

(of) those who

قُتِلُوا۟

qutilū

are killed

فِى

fī

in

سَبِيلِ

sabīli

(the) way

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

أَمْوَٰتًۢا ۚ

amwātan

(as) dead

بَلْ

bal

Nay

أَحْيَآءٌ

aḥyāon

They are alive

عِندَ

ʿinda

near

رَبِّهِمْ

rabbihim

their Lord

يُرْزَقُونَ

yur'zaqūna

they are given provision

فَرِحِينَ

fariḥīna

Rejoicing

بِمَآ

bimā

in what

ءَاتَىٰهُمُ

ātāhumu

bestowed them

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

مِن

min

of

فَضْلِهِۦ

faḍlihi

His Bounty

وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ

wayastabshirūna

and they receive good tidings

بِٱلَّذِينَ

bi-alladhīna

about those who

لَمْ

lam

(have) not

يَلْحَقُوا۟

yalḥaqū

yet joined

بِهِم

bihim

[with] them

مِّنْ

min

[from]

خَلْفِهِمْ

khalfihim

(but are) left behind

أَلَّا

allā

that (there will be) no

خَوْفٌ

khawfun

fear

عَلَيْهِمْ

ʿalayhim

on them

وَلَا

walā

and not

هُمْ

hum

they

يَحْزَنُونَ

yaḥzanūna

will grieve

۞ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ

yastabshirūna

They receive good tidings

بِنِعْمَةٍۢ

biniʿ'matin

of Favor

مِّنَ

mina

from

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

وَفَضْلٍۢ

wafaḍlin

and Bounty

وَأَنَّ

wa-anna

and that

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

لَا

lā

(does) not

يُضِيعُ

yuḍīʿu

let go waste

أَجْرَ

ajra

(the) reward

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

l-mu'minīna

(of) the believers

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

Those who

ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟

is'tajābū

responded

لِلَّهِ

lillahi

to Allah

وَٱلرَّسُولِ

wal-rasūli

and the Messenger

مِنۢ

min

from

بَعْدِ

baʿdi

after

مَآ

mā

what

أَصَابَهُمُ

aṣābahumu

befell them

ٱلْقَرْحُ ۚ

l-qarḥu

the injury

لِلَّذِينَ

lilladhīna

for those who

أَحْسَنُوا۟

aḥsanū

did good

مِنْهُمْ

min'hum

among them

وَٱتَّقَوْا۟

wa-ittaqaw

and feared Allah

أَجْرٌ

ajrun

(is) a reward

عَظِيمٌ

ʿaẓīmun

great

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

Those who

قَالَ

qāla

said

لَهُمُ

lahumu

to them

ٱلنَّاسُ

l-nāsu

[the people]

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلنَّاسَ

l-nāsa

the people

قَدْ

qad

(have) certainly

جَمَعُوا۟

gathered

لَكُمْ

lakum

against you

فَٱخْشَوْهُمْ

fa-ikh'shawhum

so fear them

فَزَادَهُمْ

fazādahum

But it increased them

إِيمَـٰنًۭا

īmānan

(in) faith

وَقَالُوا۟

waqālū

and they said

حَسْبُنَا

ḥasbunā

Sufficient for us

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

(is) Allah

وَنِعْمَ

waniʿ'ma

and (He is the) best

ٱلْوَكِيلُ

l-wakīlu

[the] Disposer of affairs

فَٱنقَلَبُوا۟

fa-inqalabū

So they returned

بِنِعْمَةٍۢ

biniʿ'matin

with (the) Favor

مِّنَ

mina

of

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

وَفَضْلٍۢ

wafaḍlin

and Bounty

لَّمْ

lam

not

يَمْسَسْهُمْ

yamsashum

touched them

سُوٓءٌۭ

sūon

any harm

وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟

wa-ittabaʿū

And they followed

رِضْوَٰنَ

riḍ'wāna

(the) pleasure

ٱللَّهِ ۗ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

and Allah

ذُو

dhū

(is) Possessor

فَضْلٍ

faḍlin

(of) Bounty

عَظِيمٍ

ʿaẓīmin

great

إِنَّمَا

innamā

(It is) only

ذَٰلِكُمُ

dhālikumu

that

ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ

l-shayṭānu

the Shaitaan

يُخَوِّفُ

yukhawwifu

frightens (you)

أَوْلِيَآءَهُۥ

awliyāahu

(of) his allies

فَلَا

falā

So (do) not

تَخَافُوهُمْ

takhāfūhum

fear them

وَخَافُونِ

wakhāfūni

but fear Me

إِن

in

if

كُنتُم

kuntum

you are

مُّؤْمِنِينَ

mu'minīna

believers
