بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَٱلنَّـٰزِعَـٰتِ غَرْقًا ﴿١﴾
Word-by-word
وَٱلنَّـٰزِعَـٰتِ
wal-nāziʿāti
By those who extract
غَرْقًۭا
gharqan
violently
وَٱلنَّـٰشِطَـٰتِ نَشْطًا ﴿٢﴾
Word-by-word
وَٱلنَّـٰشِطَـٰتِ
wal-nāshiṭāti
And those who draw out
نَشْطًۭا
nashṭan
gently
وَٱلسَّـٰبِحَـٰتِ سَبْحًا ﴿٣﴾

وَٱلسَّـٰبِحَـٰتِ
wal-sābiḥāti
And those who glide
سَبْحًۭا
sabḥan
swimming
فَٱلسَّـٰبِقَـٰتِ سَبْقًا ﴿٤﴾

فَٱلسَّـٰبِقَـٰتِ
fal-sābiqāti
And those who race each other
سَبْقًۭا
sabqan
(in) a race
فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٲتِ أَمْرًا ﴿٥﴾

fal-mudabirāti
And those who arrange
أَمْرًۭا
amran

يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ ﴿٦﴾

will quake
ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ

يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِى ٱلْحَافِرَةِ ﴿١٠﴾

وَٰحِدَةٌۭ

فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ ﴿١٤﴾

بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ

(will be) awakened
هَلْ أَتَـٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ ﴿١٥﴾

إِذْ نَادَٮٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ بِٱلْوَادِ ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى ﴿١٦﴾

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, he
طَغَىٰ

فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ ﴿١٨﴾

Would
لَّكَ
laka
[for] you
إِلَىٰٓ

[to]
أَن

تَزَكَّىٰ

purify yourself
وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ ﴿١٩﴾

And I will guide you
إِلَىٰ

رَبِّكَ

your Lord
فَتَخْشَىٰ
fatakhshā
so you would fear
فَأَرَٮٰهُ ٱلْأَيَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ ﴿٢٠﴾

Then he showed him
ٱلْـَٔايَةَ

the sign
ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
l-kub'rā
the great
فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ ﴿٢١﴾

But he denied
وَعَصَىٰ
waʿaṣā
and disobeyed
ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ ﴿٢٢﴾

Then
أَدْبَرَ
adbara
he turned his back
يَسْعَىٰ
yasʿā
striving
فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ ﴿٢٣﴾

فَنَادَىٰ
fanādā
and called out
فَقَالَ أَنَا۟ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ ﴿٢٤﴾

Then he said
أَنَا۠

I am
رَبُّكُمُ
rabbukumu
your Lord
ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
l-aʿlā
the Most High
فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلْأَخِرَةِ وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ ﴿٢٥﴾

fa-akhadhahu
So seized him
ٱللَّهُ

Allah
نَكَالَ

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
