Alif Laam Meem

ٱللَّهُ

al-lahu

Allah

لَآ

lā

(there is) no

إِلَـٰهَ

ilāha

God

إِلَّا

illā

except

هُوَ

huwa

Him

ٱلْحَىُّ

l-ḥayu

the Ever-Living

ٱلْقَيُّومُ

l-qayūmu

the Sustainer of all that exists

نَزَّلَ

nazzala

He revealed

عَلَيْكَ

ʿalayka

to you

ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ

l-kitāba

the Book

بِٱلْحَقِّ

bil-ḥaqi

in [the] truth

مُصَدِّقًۭا

muṣaddiqan

confirming

لِّمَا

limā

that which

بَيْنَ

bayna

(was)

يَدَيْهِ

yadayhi

before it

وَأَنزَلَ

wa-anzala

and He revealed

ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ

l-tawrāta

the Taurat

وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ

wal-injīla

and the Injeel

مِن

min

From

قَبْلُ

qablu

before (this)

هُدًۭى

hudan

(as) guidance

لِّلنَّاسِ

lilnnāsi

for the mankind

وَأَنزَلَ

wa-anzala

And (He) revealed

ٱلْفُرْقَانَ ۗ

l-fur'qāna

the Criterion

إِنَّ

inna

Verily

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

كَفَرُوا۟

kafarū

disbelieve[d]

بِـَٔايَـٰتِ

biāyāti

in (the) Verses

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

لَهُمْ

lahum

for them

عَذَابٌۭ

ʿadhābun

(is) a punishment

شَدِيدٌۭ ۗ

shadīdun

severe

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

عَزِيزٌۭ

ʿazīzun

(is) All-Mighty

ذُو

dhū

All-Able

ٱنتِقَامٍ

intiqāmin

(of) retribution

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

لَا

lā

not

يَخْفَىٰ

yakhfā

is hidden

عَلَيْهِ

ʿalayhi

from Him

شَىْءٌۭ

shayon

anything

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْأَرْضِ

l-arḍi

the earth

وَلَا

walā

and not

فِى

fī

in

ٱلسَّمَآءِ

l-samāi

the heaven

هُوَ

huwa

He

ٱلَّذِى

alladhī

(is) the One Who

يُصَوِّرُكُمْ

yuṣawwirukum

shapes you

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْأَرْحَامِ

l-arḥāmi

the wombs

كَيْفَ

kayfa

how(ever)

يَشَآءُ ۚ

yashāu

He wills

لَآ

lā

(There is) no

إِلَـٰهَ

ilāha

god

إِلَّا

illā

except

هُوَ

huwa

Him

ٱلْعَزِيزُ

l-ʿazīzu

the All-Mighty

ٱلْحَكِيمُ

l-ḥakīmu

the All-Wise

هُوَ

huwa

He

ٱلَّذِىٓ

alladhī

(is) the One Who

أَنزَلَ

anzala

revealed

عَلَيْكَ

ʿalayka

to you

ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ

l-kitāba

the Book

مِنْهُ

min'hu

of it

ءَايَـٰتٌۭ

āyātun

(are) Verses

مُّحْكَمَـٰتٌ

muḥ'kamātun

absolutely clear

هُنَّ

hunna

they (are)

أُمُّ

ummu

the foundation

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

l-kitābi

(of) the Book

وَأُخَرُ

wa-ukharu

and others

مُتَشَـٰبِهَـٰتٌۭ ۖ

mutashābihātun

(are) allegorical

فَأَمَّا

fa-ammā

Then as for

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those

فِى

fī

in

قُلُوبِهِمْ

qulūbihim

their hearts

زَيْغٌۭ

zayghun

(is) perversity

فَيَتَّبِعُونَ

fayattabiʿūna

[so] they follow

مَا

mā

what

تَشَـٰبَهَ

tashābaha

(is) allegorical

مِنْهُ

min'hu

of it

ٱبْتِغَآءَ

ib'tighāa

seeking

ٱلْفِتْنَةِ

l-fit'nati

[the] discord

وَٱبْتِغَآءَ

wa-ib'tighāa

and seeking

تَأْوِيلِهِۦ ۗ

tawīlihi

its interpretation

وَمَا

wamā

And not

يَعْلَمُ

yaʿlamu

knows

تَأْوِيلَهُۥٓ

tawīlahu

its interpretation

إِلَّا

illā

except

ٱللَّهُ ۗ

l-lahu

Allah

وَٱلرَّٰسِخُونَ

wal-rāsikhūna

And those firm

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْعِلْمِ

l-ʿil'mi

[the] knowledge

يَقُولُونَ

yaqūlūna

they say

ءَامَنَّا

āmannā

We believe

بِهِۦ

bihi

in it

كُلٌّۭ

kullun

All

مِّنْ

min

(is)

عِندِ

ʿindi

from

رَبِّنَا ۗ

rabbinā

our Lord

وَمَا

wamā

And not

يَذَّكَّرُ

yadhakkaru

will take heed

إِلَّآ

illā

except

أُو۟لُوا۟

ulū

men

ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ

l-albābi

(of) understanding

رَبَّنَا

rabbanā

Our Lord

لَا

lā

(Do) not

تُزِغْ

tuzigh

deviate

قُلُوبَنَا

qulūbanā

our hearts

بَعْدَ

baʿda

after

إِذْ

idh

[when]

هَدَيْتَنَا

hadaytanā

You (have) guided us

وَهَبْ

wahab

and grant

لَنَا

lanā

(for) us

مِن

min

from

لَّدُنكَ

ladunka

Yourself

رَحْمَةً ۚ

raḥmatan

mercy

إِنَّكَ

innaka

Indeed You

أَنتَ

anta

You

ٱلْوَهَّابُ

l-wahābu

(are) the Bestower

رَبَّنَآ

rabbanā

Our Lord

إِنَّكَ

innaka

Indeed, You

جَامِعُ

jāmiʿu

will gather

ٱلنَّاسِ

l-nāsi

[the] mankind

لِيَوْمٍۢ

liyawmin

on a Day

لَّا

lā

(there is) no

رَيْبَ

rayba

doubt

فِيهِ ۚ

fīhi

in it

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

لَا

lā

(does) not

يُخْلِفُ

yukh'lifu

break

ٱلْمِيعَادَ

l-mīʿāda

the Promise

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

كَفَرُوا۟

kafarū

disbelieve[d]

لَن

lan

never

تُغْنِىَ

tugh'niya

will avail

عَنْهُمْ

ʿanhum

[for] them

أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ

amwāluhum

their wealth

وَلَآ

walā

and not

أَوْلَـٰدُهُم

awlāduhum

their children

مِّنَ

mina

against

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ

shayan

anything

وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

wa-ulāika

and those

هُمْ

hum

they (are)

وَقُودُ

waqūdu

(the) fuel

ٱلنَّارِ

l-nāri

(for) the Fire

كَدَأْبِ

kadabi

Like behavior

ءَالِ

āli

(of the) people

فِرْعَوْنَ

fir'ʿawna

(of) Firaun

وَٱلَّذِينَ

wa-alladhīna

and those who

مِن

min

(were) from

قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ

qablihim

before them

كَذَّبُوا۟

kadhabū

They denied

بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا

biāyātinā

Our Signs

فَأَخَذَهُمُ

fa-akhadhahumu

so seized them

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

بِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗ

bidhunūbihim

for their sins

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

شَدِيدُ

shadīdu

(is) severe

ٱلْعِقَابِ

l-ʿiqābi

(in) [the] punishment

قُل

qul

Say

لِّلَّذِينَ

lilladhīna

to those who

كَفَرُوا۟

kafarū

disbelieve[d]

سَتُغْلَبُونَ

satugh'labūna

You will be overcome

وَتُحْشَرُونَ

watuḥ'sharūna

and you will be gathered

إِلَىٰ

ilā

to

جَهَنَّمَ ۚ

jahannama

Hell

وَبِئْسَ

wabi'sa

[and] an evil

ٱلْمِهَادُ

l-mihādu

[the] resting place

قَدْ

qad

Surely

كَانَ

kāna

it was

لَكُمْ

lakum

for you

ءَايَةٌۭ

āyatun

a sign

فِى

fī

in

فِئَتَيْنِ

fi-atayni

(the) two hosts

ٱلْتَقَتَا ۖ

l-taqatā

which met

فِئَةٌۭ

fi-atun

one group

تُقَـٰتِلُ

tuqātilu

fighting

فِى

fī

in

سَبِيلِ

sabīli

(the) way

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

وَأُخْرَىٰ

wa-ukh'rā

and another

كَافِرَةٌۭ

kāfiratun

disbelievers

يَرَوْنَهُم

yarawnahum

They were seeing them

مِّثْلَيْهِمْ

mith'layhim

twice of them

رَأْىَ

raya

with the sight

ٱلْعَيْنِ ۚ

l-ʿayni

(of) their eyes

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

يُؤَيِّدُ

yu-ayyidu

supports

بِنَصْرِهِۦ

binaṣrihi

with His help

مَن

man

whom

يَشَآءُ ۗ

yashāu

He wills

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

فِى

fī

in

ذَٰلِكَ

dhālika

that

لَعِبْرَةًۭ

laʿib'ratan

surely (is) a lesson

لِّأُو۟لِى

li-ulī

for the owners

ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرِ

l-abṣāri

(of) vision

زُيِّنَ

zuyyina

Beautified

لِلنَّاسِ

lilnnāsi

for mankind

حُبُّ

ḥubbu

(is) love

ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ

l-shahawāti

(of) the (things they) desire

مِنَ

mina

of

ٱلنِّسَآءِ

l-nisāi

[the] women

وَٱلْبَنِينَ

wal-banīna

and [the] sons

وَٱلْقَنَـٰطِيرِ

wal-qanāṭīri

and [the] heaps

ٱلْمُقَنطَرَةِ

l-muqanṭarati

[the] stored up

مِنَ

mina

of

ٱلذَّهَبِ

l-dhahabi

[the] gold

وَٱلْفِضَّةِ

wal-fiḍati

and [the] silver

وَٱلْخَيْلِ

wal-khayli

and [the] horses

ٱلْمُسَوَّمَةِ

l-musawamati

[the] branded

وَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ

wal-anʿāmi

and [the] cattle

وَٱلْحَرْثِ ۗ

wal-ḥarthi

and [the] tilled land

ذَٰلِكَ

dhālika

That

مَتَـٰعُ

matāʿu

(is) provision

ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ

l-ḥayati

(of) life

ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ

l-dun'yā

(of) the world

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

but Allah

عِندَهُۥ

ʿindahu

with Him

حُسْنُ

ḥus'nu

(is an) excellent

ٱلْمَـَٔابِ

l-maābi

[the] abode to return

۞ قُلْ

qul

Say

أَؤُنَبِّئُكُم

a-unabbi-ukum

Shall I inform you

بِخَيْرٍۢ

bikhayrin

of better

مِّن

min

than

ذَٰلِكُمْ ۚ

dhālikum

that

لِلَّذِينَ

lilladhīna

For those who

ٱتَّقَوْا۟

ittaqaw

fear[ed]

عِندَ

ʿinda

with

رَبِّهِمْ

rabbihim

their Lord

جَنَّـٰتٌۭ

jannātun

(are) Gardens

تَجْرِى

tajrī

flows

مِن

min

from

تَحْتِهَا

taḥtihā

underneath them

ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ

l-anhāru

[the] rivers

خَـٰلِدِينَ

khālidīna

abiding forever

فِيهَا

fīhā

in it

وَأَزْوَٰجٌۭ

wa-azwājun

and spouses

مُّطَهَّرَةٌۭ

muṭahharatun

pure

وَرِضْوَٰنٌۭ

wariḍ'wānun

and approval

مِّنَ

mina

from

ٱللَّهِ ۗ

l-lahi

Allah

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

بَصِيرٌۢ

baṣīrun

(is) All-Seer

بِٱلْعِبَادِ

bil-ʿibādi

of (His) slaves

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

Those who

يَقُولُونَ

yaqūlūna

say

رَبَّنَآ

rabbanā

Our Lord

إِنَّنَآ

innanā

Indeed, we

ءَامَنَّا

āmannā

(have) believed

فَٱغْفِرْ

fa-igh'fir

so forgive

لَنَا

lanā

for us

ذُنُوبَنَا

dhunūbanā

our sins

وَقِنَا

waqinā

and save us

عَذَابَ

ʿadhāba

(from) punishment

ٱلنَّارِ

l-nāri

(of) the Fire

ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ

al-ṣābirīna

The patient

وَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ

wal-ṣādiqīna

and the truthful

وَٱلْقَـٰنِتِينَ

wal-qānitīna

and the obedient

وَٱلْمُنفِقِينَ

wal-munfiqīna

and those who spend

وَٱلْمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ

wal-mus'taghfirīna

and those who seek forgiveness

بِٱلْأَسْحَارِ

bil-asḥāri

[in the] before dawn

شَهِدَ

shahida

Bears witness

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

أَنَّهُۥ

annahu

that [He]

لَآ

lā

(there is) no

إِلَـٰهَ

ilāha

god

إِلَّا

illā

except

هُوَ

huwa

Him

وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ

wal-malāikatu

and (so do) the Angels

وَأُو۟لُوا۟

wa-ulū

and owners

ٱلْعِلْمِ

l-ʿil'mi

(of) [the] knowledge

قَآئِمًۢا

qāiman

standing

بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۚ

bil-qis'ṭi

in justice

لَآ

lā

(There is) no

إِلَـٰهَ

ilāha

god

إِلَّا

illā

except

هُوَ

huwa

Him

ٱلْعَزِيزُ

l-ʿazīzu

the All-Mighty

ٱلْحَكِيمُ

l-ḥakīmu

the All-Wise

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلدِّينَ

l-dīna

the religion

عِندَ

ʿinda

near

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

ٱلْإِسْلَـٰمُ ۗ

l-is'lāmu

(is) Islam

وَمَا

wamā

And not

ٱخْتَلَفَ

ikh'talafa

differed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

أُوتُوا۟

ūtū

were given

ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ

l-kitāba

the Book

إِلَّا

illā

except

مِنۢ

min

from

بَعْدِ

baʿdi

after

مَا

mā

[what]

جَآءَهُمُ

jāahumu

came to them

ٱلْعِلْمُ

l-ʿil'mu

[the] knowledge

بَغْيًۢا

baghyan

out of envy

بَيْنَهُمْ ۗ

baynahum

among them

وَمَن

waman

And whoever

يَكْفُرْ

yakfur

disbelieves

بِـَٔايَـٰتِ

biāyāti

in (the) Verses

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

فَإِنَّ

fa-inna

then indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

سَرِيعُ

sarīʿu

(is) swift

ٱلْحِسَابِ

l-ḥisābi

(in taking) account

فَإِنْ

fa-in

Then if

حَآجُّوكَ

ḥājjūka

they argue with you

فَقُلْ

faqul

then say

أَسْلَمْتُ

aslamtu

I have submitted

وَجْهِىَ

wajhiya

myself

لِلَّهِ

lillahi

to Allah

وَمَنِ

wamani

and (those) who

ٱتَّبَعَنِ ۗ

ittabaʿani

follow me

وَقُل

waqul

And say

لِّلَّذِينَ

lilladhīna

to those who

أُوتُوا۟

ūtū

were given

ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ

l-kitāba

the Book

وَٱلْأُمِّيِّـۧنَ

wal-umiyīna

and the unlettered people

ءَأَسْلَمْتُمْ ۚ

a-aslamtum

Have you submitted yourselves

فَإِنْ

fa-in

Then if

أَسْلَمُوا۟

aslamū

they submit

فَقَدِ

faqadi

then surely

ٱهْتَدَوا۟ ۖ

ih'tadaw

they are guided

وَّإِن

wa-in

But if

تَوَلَّوْا۟

tawallaw

they turn back

فَإِنَّمَا

fa-innamā

then only

عَلَيْكَ

ʿalayka

on you

ٱلْبَلَـٰغُ ۗ

l-balāghu

(is) to [the] convey

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

بَصِيرٌۢ

baṣīrun

(is) All-Seer

بِٱلْعِبَادِ

bil-ʿibādi

of [His] slaves

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

يَكْفُرُونَ

yakfurūna

disbelieve

بِـَٔايَـٰتِ

biāyāti

in (the) Signs (of)

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

وَيَقْتُلُونَ

wayaqtulūna

and they kill

ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ

l-nabiyīna

the Prophets

بِغَيْرِ

bighayri

without

حَقٍّۢ

ḥaqqin

right

وَيَقْتُلُونَ

wayaqtulūna

and they kill

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

يَأْمُرُونَ

yamurūna

order

بِٱلْقِسْطِ

bil-qis'ṭi

[with] justice

مِنَ

mina

among

ٱلنَّاسِ

l-nāsi

the people

فَبَشِّرْهُم

fabashir'hum

then give them tidings

بِعَذَابٍ

biʿadhābin

of a punishment

أَلِيمٍ

alīmin

painful

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

ulāika

Those

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

(are) the ones who

حَبِطَتْ

ḥabiṭat

became worthless

أَعْمَـٰلُهُمْ

aʿmāluhum

their deeds

فِى

fī

in

ٱلدُّنْيَا

l-dun'yā

the world

وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

wal-ākhirati

and (in) the Hereafter

وَمَا

wamā

And not

لَهُم

lahum

(will be) for them

مِّن

min

any

نَّـٰصِرِينَ

nāṣirīna

helpers

أَلَمْ

alam

Have not

تَرَ

tara

you seen

إِلَى

ilā

[to]

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

أُوتُوا۟

ūtū

were given

نَصِيبًۭا

naṣīban

a portion

مِّنَ

mina

of

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

l-kitābi

the Scripture

يُدْعَوْنَ

yud'ʿawna

They are invited

إِلَىٰ

ilā

to

كِتَـٰبِ

kitābi

(the) Book

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

لِيَحْكُمَ

liyaḥkuma

that (it should) arbitrate

بَيْنَهُمْ

baynahum

between them

ثُمَّ

thumma

then

يَتَوَلَّىٰ

yatawallā

turns away

فَرِيقٌۭ

farīqun

a party

مِّنْهُمْ

min'hum

of them

وَهُم

wahum

and they (are)

مُّعْرِضُونَ

muʿ'riḍūna

those who are averse

ذَٰلِكَ

dhālika

That

بِأَنَّهُمْ

bi-annahum

(is) because they

قَالُوا۟

qālū

say

لَن

lan

Never

تَمَسَّنَا

tamassanā

will touch us

ٱلنَّارُ

l-nāru

the Fire

إِلَّآ

illā

except

أَيَّامًۭا

ayyāman

(for) days

مَّعْدُودَٰتٍۢ ۖ

maʿdūdātin

numbered

وَغَرَّهُمْ

wagharrahum

And deceived them

فِى

fī

in

دِينِهِم

dīnihim

their religion

مَّا

mā

what

كَانُوا۟

kānū

they were

يَفْتَرُونَ

yaftarūna

inventing

فَكَيْفَ

fakayfa

Then how (will it be)

إِذَا

idhā

when

جَمَعْنَـٰهُمْ

jamaʿnāhum

We will gather them

لِيَوْمٍۢ

liyawmin

on a Day

لَّا

lā

no

رَيْبَ

rayba

doubt

فِيهِ

fīhi

in it

وَوُفِّيَتْ

wawuffiyat

And will be paid in full

كُلُّ

kullu

every

نَفْسٍۢ

nafsin

soul

مَّا

mā

what

كَسَبَتْ

kasabat

it earned

وَهُمْ

wahum

and they

لَا

lā

(will) not

يُظْلَمُونَ

yuẓ'lamūna

be wronged
