فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهَا قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا لَضَآلُّونَ ﴿٢٦﴾

قَالُواْ سُبْحَـٰنَ رَبِّنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ ﴿٢٩﴾

wrongdoers
فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَلَـٰوَمُونَ ﴿٣٠﴾

Then approached
بَعْضُهُمْ
baʿḍuhum
some of them
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā

بَعْضٍۢ
baʿḍin
others
يَتَلَـٰوَمُونَ

blaming each other
قَالُواْ يَـٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا طَـٰغِينَ ﴿٣١﴾

يَـٰوَيْلَنَآ
yāwaylanā
O woe to us
إِنَّا
innā
Indeed, we
كُنَّا
kunnā
[we] were
طَـٰغِينَ
ṭāghīna
transgressors
عَسَىٰ رَبُّنَآ أَن يُبْدِلَنَا خَيْرًا مِّنْهَآ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا رَٲغِبُونَ ﴿٣٢﴾

رَبُّنَآ

our Lord
أَن

يُبْدِلَنَا

will substitute for us
خَيْرًۭا

Indeed, we
إِلَىٰ
ilā

رَبِّنَا
rabbinā
our Lord
رَٰغِبُونَ
rāghibūna
turn devoutly
كَذَٲلِكَ ٱلْعَذَابُۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْأَخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُۚ لَوْ كَانُواْ يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٣٣﴾

Such
ٱلْعَذَابُ ۖ

(is) the punishment
وَلَعَذَابُ
walaʿadhābu
And surely the punishment
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
l-ākhirati
(of) the Hereafter
أَكْبَرُ ۚ
akbaru
(is) greater
لَوْ
law
if
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they
يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūna
know
إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ﴿٣٤﴾

Indeed
لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqīna
for the righteous
عِندَ
ʿinda

رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihim
their Lord
جَنَّـٰتِ
jannāti
(are) Gardens
ٱلنَّعِيمِ
l-naʿīmi
(of) Delight
أَفَنَجْعَلُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ كَٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ﴿٣٥﴾

Then will We treat
ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
l-mus'limīna
the Muslims
كَٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
kal-muj'rimīna
like the criminals
مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ ﴿٣٦﴾

you judge
سَلْهُمْ أَيُّهُم بِذَٲلِكَ زَعِيمٌ ﴿٤٠﴾

خَـٰشِعَةً أَبْصَـٰرُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌۖ وَقَدْ كَانُواْ يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ وَهُمْ سَـٰلِمُونَ ﴿٤٣﴾

أَبْصَـٰرُهُمْ

And indeed
كَانُوا۟

they were
يُدْعَوْنَ

إِلَى

ٱلسُّجُودِ
l-sujūdi
prostrate
وَهُمْ
wahum
while they
سَـٰلِمُونَ
sālimūna
(were) sound
فَذَرْنِى وَمَن يُكَذِّبُ بِهَـٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِۖ سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم مِّنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٤٤﴾

ٱلْحَدِيثِ ۖ

سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم

We will progressively lead them
مِّنْ
min
from
حَيْثُ
ḥaythu

لَا
lā
not
يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūna
they know
وَأُمْلِى لَهُمْۚ إِنَّ كَيْدِى مَتِينٌ ﴿٤٥﴾

And I will give respite
لَهُمْ ۚ

Indeed

أَمْ تَسْــَٔلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُونَ ﴿٤٦﴾

فَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُن كَصَاحِبِ ٱلْحُوتِ إِذْ نَادَىٰ وَهُوَ مَكْظُومٌ ﴿٤٨﴾

(was) distressed
لَّوْلَآ أَن تَدَٲرَكَهُۥ نِعْمَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ لَنُبِذَ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ مَذْمُومٌ ﴿٤٩﴾

فَٱجْتَبَـٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَجَعَلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ ﴿٥٠﴾

But chose him
رَبُّهُۥ

فَجَعَلَهُۥ
