وَمَا

wamā

And not

تَنقِمُ

tanqimu

you take revenge

مِنَّآ

minnā

from us

إِلَّآ

illā

except

أَنْ

an

that

ءَامَنَّا

āmannā

we believed

بِـَٔايَـٰتِ

biāyāti

in (the) Signs

رَبِّنَا

rabbinā

(of) our Lord

لَمَّا

lammā

when

جَآءَتْنَا ۚ

jāatnā

they came to us

رَبَّنَآ

rabbanā

Our Lord

أَفْرِغْ

afrigh

Pour

عَلَيْنَا

ʿalaynā

upon us

صَبْرًۭا

ṣabran

patience

وَتَوَفَّنَا

watawaffanā

and cause us to die

مُسْلِمِينَ

mus'limīna

(as) Muslims

وَقَالَ

waqāla

And said

ٱلْمَلَأُ

l-mala-u

the chiefs

مِن

min

of

قَوْمِ

qawmi

(the) people

فِرْعَوْنَ

fir'ʿawna

(of) Firaun

أَتَذَرُ

atadharu

Will you leave

مُوسَىٰ

mūsā

Musa

وَقَوْمَهُۥ

waqawmahu

and his people

لِيُفْسِدُوا۟

liyuf'sidū

so that they cause corruption

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْأَرْضِ

l-arḍi

the earth

وَيَذَرَكَ

wayadharaka

and forsake you

وَءَالِهَتَكَ ۚ

waālihataka

and your gods

قَالَ

qāla

He said

سَنُقَتِّلُ

sanuqattilu

We will kill

أَبْنَآءَهُمْ

abnāahum

their sons

وَنَسْتَحْىِۦ

wanastaḥyī

and we will let live

نِسَآءَهُمْ

nisāahum

their women

وَإِنَّا

wa-innā

and indeed, we

فَوْقَهُمْ

fawqahum

over them

قَـٰهِرُونَ

qāhirūna

(are) subjugators

قَالَ

qāla

Said

مُوسَىٰ

mūsā

Musa

لِقَوْمِهِ

liqawmihi

to his people

ٱسْتَعِينُوا۟

is'taʿīnū

Seek help

بِٱللَّهِ

bil-lahi

from Allah

وَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ ۖ

wa-iṣ'birū

and be patient

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلْأَرْضَ

l-arḍa

the earth

لِلَّهِ

lillahi

(belongs) to Allah

يُورِثُهَا

yūrithuhā

He causes to inherit it

مَن

man

whom

يَشَآءُ

yashāu

He wills

مِنْ

min

of

عِبَادِهِۦ ۖ

ʿibādihi

His servants

وَٱلْعَـٰقِبَةُ

wal-ʿāqibatu

And the end

لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

lil'muttaqīna

(is) for the righteous

قَالُوٓا۟

qālū

They said

أُوذِينَا

ūdhīnā

We have been harmed

مِن

min

from

قَبْلِ

qabli

before

أَن

an

[that]

تَأْتِيَنَا

tatiyanā

you came to us

وَمِنۢ

wamin

from

بَعْدِ

baʿdi

and after

مَا

mā

[what]

جِئْتَنَا ۚ

ji'tanā

you have come to us

قَالَ

qāla

He said

عَسَىٰ

ʿasā

Perhaps

رَبُّكُمْ

rabbukum

your Lord

أَن

an

[that]

يُهْلِكَ

yuh'lika

will destroy

عَدُوَّكُمْ

ʿaduwwakum

your enemy

وَيَسْتَخْلِفَكُمْ

wayastakhlifakum

and make you successors

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْأَرْضِ

l-arḍi

the earth

فَيَنظُرَ

fayanẓura

then see

كَيْفَ

kayfa

how

تَعْمَلُونَ

taʿmalūna

you will do

وَلَقَدْ

walaqad

And certainly

أَخَذْنَآ

akhadhnā

We seized

ءَالَ

āla

(the) people

فِرْعَوْنَ

fir'ʿawna

(of) Firaun

بِٱلسِّنِينَ

bil-sinīna

with years (of famine)

وَنَقْصٍۢ

wanaqṣin

and a deficit

مِّنَ

mina

of

ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ

l-thamarāti

[the] fruits

لَعَلَّهُمْ

laʿallahum

so that they may

يَذَّكَّرُونَ

yadhakkarūna

receive admonition

فَإِذَا

fa-idhā

But when

جَآءَتْهُمُ

jāathumu

came to them

ٱلْحَسَنَةُ

l-ḥasanatu

the good

قَالُوا۟

qālū

they said

لَنَا

lanā

For us

هَـٰذِهِۦ ۖ

hādhihi

(is) this

وَإِن

wa-in

And if

تُصِبْهُمْ

tuṣib'hum

afflicts them

سَيِّئَةٌۭ

sayyi-atun

bad

يَطَّيَّرُوا۟

yaṭṭayyarū

they ascribe evil omens

بِمُوسَىٰ

bimūsā

to Musa

وَمَن

waman

and who

مَّعَهُۥٓ ۗ

maʿahu

(were) with him

أَلَآ

alā

Behold

إِنَّمَا

innamā

Only

طَـٰٓئِرُهُمْ

ṭāiruhum

their evil omens

عِندَ

ʿinda

(are) with

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

وَلَـٰكِنَّ

walākinna

but

أَكْثَرَهُمْ

aktharahum

most of them

لَا

lā

(do) not

يَعْلَمُونَ

yaʿlamūna

know

وَقَالُوا۟

waqālū

And they said

مَهْمَا

mahmā

Whatever

تَأْتِنَا

tatinā

you bring us

بِهِۦ

bihi

therewith

مِنْ

min

of

ءَايَةٍۢ

āyatin

(the) sign

لِّتَسْحَرَنَا

litasḥaranā

so that you bewitch us

بِهَا

bihā

with it

فَمَا

famā

then not

نَحْنُ

naḥnu

we

لَكَ

laka

(will be) in you

بِمُؤْمِنِينَ

bimu'minīna

believers

فَأَرْسَلْنَا

fa-arsalnā

So We sent

عَلَيْهِمُ

ʿalayhimu

on them

ٱلطُّوفَانَ

l-ṭūfāna

the flood

وَٱلْجَرَادَ

wal-jarāda

and the locusts

وَٱلْقُمَّلَ

wal-qumala

and the lice

وَٱلضَّفَادِعَ

wal-ḍafādiʿa

and the frogs

وَٱلدَّمَ

wal-dama

and the blood

ءَايَـٰتٍۢ

āyātin

(as) signs

مُّفَصَّلَـٰتٍۢ

mufaṣṣalātin

manifest

فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟

fa-is'takbarū

but they showed arrogance

وَكَانُوا۟

wakānū

and they were

قَوْمًۭا

qawman

a people

مُّجْرِمِينَ

muj'rimīna

criminal

وَلَمَّا

walammā

And when

وَقَعَ

waqaʿa

fell

عَلَيْهِمُ

ʿalayhimu

on them

ٱلرِّجْزُ

l-rij'zu

the punishment

قَالُوا۟

qālū

they said

يَـٰمُوسَى

yāmūsā

O Musa

ٱدْعُ

ud'ʿu

Invoke

لَنَا

lanā

for us

رَبَّكَ

rabbaka

your Lord

بِمَا

bimā

by what

عَهِدَ

ʿahida

He has promised

عِندَكَ ۖ

ʿindaka

to you

لَئِن

la-in

If

كَشَفْتَ

kashafta

you remove

عَنَّا

ʿannā

from us

ٱلرِّجْزَ

l-rij'za

the punishment

لَنُؤْمِنَنَّ

lanu'minanna

surely, we will believe

لَكَ

laka

[for] you

وَلَنُرْسِلَنَّ

walanur'silanna

and surely, we will send

مَعَكَ

maʿaka

with you

بَنِىٓ

banī

(the) Children

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

is'rāīla

(of) Israel

فَلَمَّا

falammā

But when

كَشَفْنَا

kashafnā

We removed

عَنْهُمُ

ʿanhumu

from them

ٱلرِّجْزَ

l-rij'za

the punishment

إِلَىٰٓ

ilā

till

أَجَلٍ

ajalin

a (fixed) term

هُم

hum

(which) they

بَـٰلِغُوهُ

bālighūhu

were to reach [it]

إِذَا

idhā

then

هُمْ

hum

they

يَنكُثُونَ

yankuthūna

broke (the word)

فَٱنتَقَمْنَا

fa-intaqamnā

So We took retribution

مِنْهُمْ

min'hum

from them

فَأَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْ

fa-aghraqnāhum

and We drowned them

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْيَمِّ

l-yami

the sea

بِأَنَّهُمْ

bi-annahum

because they

كَذَّبُوا۟

kadhabū

denied

بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا

biāyātinā

Our Signs

وَكَانُوا۟

wakānū

and they were

عَنْهَا

ʿanhā

to them

غَـٰفِلِينَ

ghāfilīna

heedless

وَأَوْرَثْنَا

wa-awrathnā

And We made inheritors

ٱلْقَوْمَ

l-qawma

the people

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

كَانُوا۟

kānū

were

يُسْتَضْعَفُونَ

yus'taḍʿafūna

considered weak

مَشَـٰرِقَ

mashāriqa

(the) eastern (parts)

ٱلْأَرْضِ

l-arḍi

(of) the land

وَمَغَـٰرِبَهَا

wamaghāribahā

and the western (parts) of it

ٱلَّتِى

allatī

which

بَـٰرَكْنَا

bāraknā

We blessed

فِيهَا ۖ

fīhā

[in it]

وَتَمَّتْ

watammat

And was fulfilled

كَلِمَتُ

kalimatu

(the) word

رَبِّكَ

rabbika

(of) your Lord

ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ

l-ḥus'nā

the best

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

for

بَنِىٓ

banī

(the) Children

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

is'rāīla

(of) Israel

بِمَا

bimā

because

صَبَرُوا۟ ۖ

ṣabarū

they were patient

وَدَمَّرْنَا

wadammarnā

And We destroyed

مَا

mā

what

كَانَ

kāna

used to

يَصْنَعُ

yaṣnaʿu

make

فِرْعَوْنُ

fir'ʿawnu

Firaun

وَقَوْمُهُۥ

waqawmuhu

and his people

وَمَا

wamā

and what

كَانُوا۟

kānū

they used to

يَعْرِشُونَ

yaʿrishūna

erect

وَجَـٰوَزْنَا

wajāwaznā

And We led across

بِبَنِىٓ

bibanī

(the) Children

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

is'rāīla

(of) Israel

ٱلْبَحْرَ

l-baḥra

the sea

فَأَتَوْا۟

fa-ataw

Then they came

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

upon

قَوْمٍۢ

qawmin

a people

يَعْكُفُونَ

yaʿkufūna

devoted

عَلَىٰٓ

ʿalā

to

أَصْنَامٍۢ

aṣnāmin

idols

لَّهُمْ ۚ

lahum

of theirs

قَالُوا۟

qālū

They said

يَـٰمُوسَى

yāmūsā

O Musa

ٱجْعَل

ij'ʿal

Make

لَّنَآ

lanā

for us

إِلَـٰهًۭا

ilāhan

a god

كَمَا

kamā

like what

لَهُمْ

lahum

they have

ءَالِهَةٌۭ ۚ

ālihatun

gods

قَالَ

qāla

He said

إِنَّكُمْ

innakum

Indeed, you

قَوْمٌۭ

qawmun

(are) a people

تَجْهَلُونَ

tajhalūna

ignorant

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ

hāulāi

these

مُتَبَّرٌۭ

mutabbarun

destroyed

مَّا

mā

(is) what

هُمْ

hum

they

فِيهِ

fīhi

(are) in it

وَبَـٰطِلٌۭ

wabāṭilun

and vain

مَّا

mā

(is) what

كَانُوا۟

kānū

they used to

يَعْمَلُونَ

yaʿmalūna

do

قَالَ

qāla

He said

أَغَيْرَ

aghayra

Should other than

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

أَبْغِيكُمْ

abghīkum

I seek for you

إِلَـٰهًۭا

ilāhan

a god

وَهُوَ

wahuwa

while He

فَضَّلَكُمْ

faḍḍalakum

has preferred you

عَلَى

ʿalā

over

ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

l-ʿālamīna

the worlds

وَإِذْ

wa-idh

And when

أَنجَيْنَـٰكُم

anjaynākum

We saved you

مِّنْ

min

from

ءَالِ

āli

(the) people

فِرْعَوْنَ

fir'ʿawna

(of) Firaun

يَسُومُونَكُمْ

yasūmūnakum

who were afflicting you

سُوٓءَ

sūa

(with) worst

ٱلْعَذَابِ ۖ

l-ʿadhābi

(of) torment

يُقَتِّلُونَ

yuqattilūna

they were killing

أَبْنَآءَكُمْ

abnāakum

your sons

وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ

wayastaḥyūna

and letting live

نِسَآءَكُمْ ۚ

nisāakum

your women

وَفِى

wafī

And in

ذَٰلِكُم

dhālikum

that

بَلَآءٌۭ

balāon

(was) a trial

مِّن

min

from

رَّبِّكُمْ

rabbikum

your Lord

عَظِيمٌۭ

ʿaẓīmun

great

۞ وَوَٰعَدْنَا

wawāʿadnā

And We appointed

مُوسَىٰ

mūsā

(for) Musa

ثَلَـٰثِينَ

thalāthīna

thirty

لَيْلَةًۭ

laylatan

nights

وَأَتْمَمْنَـٰهَا

wa-atmamnāhā

and We completed them

بِعَشْرٍۢ

biʿashrin

with ten (more)

فَتَمَّ

fatamma

so was completed

مِيقَـٰتُ

mīqātu

(the) set term

رَبِّهِۦٓ

rabbihi

(of) his Lord

أَرْبَعِينَ

arbaʿīna

(of) forty

لَيْلَةًۭ ۚ

laylatan

night(s)

وَقَالَ

waqāla

And said

مُوسَىٰ

mūsā

Musa

لِأَخِيهِ

li-akhīhi

to his brother

هَـٰرُونَ

hārūna

Harun

ٱخْلُفْنِى

ukh'luf'nī

Take my place

فِى

fī

in

قَوْمِى

qawmī

my people

وَأَصْلِحْ

wa-aṣliḥ

and do right

وَلَا

walā

and (do) not

تَتَّبِعْ

tattabiʿ

follow

سَبِيلَ

sabīla

(the) way

ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

l-muf'sidīna

(of) the corrupters

وَلَمَّا

walammā

And when

جَآءَ

jāa

came

مُوسَىٰ

mūsā

Musa

لِمِيقَـٰتِنَا

limīqātinā

to Our appointed place

وَكَلَّمَهُۥ

wakallamahu

and spoke to him

رَبُّهُۥ

rabbuhu

his Lord

قَالَ

qāla

he said

رَبِّ

rabbi

O my Lord

أَرِنِىٓ

arinī

Show me

أَنظُرْ

anẓur

(that) I may look

إِلَيْكَ ۚ

ilayka

at You

قَالَ

qāla

He said

لَن

lan

Never

تَرَىٰنِى

tarānī

you (can) see Me

وَلَـٰكِنِ

walākini

but

ٱنظُرْ

unẓur

look

إِلَى

ilā

at

ٱلْجَبَلِ

l-jabali

the mountain

فَإِنِ

fa-ini

[then] if

ٱسْتَقَرَّ

is'taqarra

it remains

مَكَانَهُۥ

makānahu

in its place

فَسَوْفَ

fasawfa

then

تَرَىٰنِى ۚ

tarānī

you (will) see Me

فَلَمَّا

falammā

But when

تَجَلَّىٰ

tajallā

revealed (His) Glory

رَبُّهُۥ

rabbuhu

his Lord

لِلْجَبَلِ

lil'jabali

to the mountain

جَعَلَهُۥ

jaʿalahu

He made it

دَكًّۭا

dakkan

crumbled to dust

وَخَرَّ

wakharra

and fell down

مُوسَىٰ

mūsā

Musa

صَعِقًۭا ۚ

ṣaʿiqan

unconscious

فَلَمَّآ

falammā

And when

أَفَاقَ

afāqa

he recovered

قَالَ

qāla

he said

سُبْحَـٰنَكَ

sub'ḥānaka

Glory be to You

تُبْتُ

tub'tu

I turn (in repentance)

إِلَيْكَ

ilayka

to you

وَأَنَا۠

wa-anā

and I am

أَوَّلُ

awwalu

(the) first

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

l-mu'minīna

(of) the believers

قَالَ

qāla

He said

يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓ

yāmūsā

O Musa

إِنِّى

innī

Indeed, I

ٱصْطَفَيْتُكَ

iṣ'ṭafaytuka

have chosen you

عَلَى

ʿalā

over

ٱلنَّاسِ

l-nāsi

the people

بِرِسَـٰلَـٰتِى

birisālātī

with My Messages

وَبِكَلَـٰمِى

wabikalāmī

and with My words

فَخُذْ

fakhudh

So take

مَآ

mā

what

ءَاتَيْتُكَ

ātaytuka

I have given you

وَكُن

wakun

and be

مِّنَ

mina

among

ٱلشَّـٰكِرِينَ

l-shākirīna

the grateful

وَكَتَبْنَا

wakatabnā

And We ordained (laws)

لَهُۥ

lahu

for him

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْأَلْوَاحِ

l-alwāḥi

the tablets

مِن

min

of

كُلِّ

kulli

every

شَىْءٍۢ

shayin

thing

مَّوْعِظَةًۭ

mawʿiẓatan

an instruction

وَتَفْصِيلًۭا

watafṣīlan

and explanation

لِّكُلِّ

likulli

for every

شَىْءٍۢ

shayin

thing

فَخُذْهَا

fakhudh'hā

So take them

بِقُوَّةٍۢ

biquwwatin

with firmness

وَأْمُرْ

wamur

and order

قَوْمَكَ

qawmaka

your people

يَأْخُذُوا۟

yakhudhū

(to) take

بِأَحْسَنِهَا ۚ

bi-aḥsanihā

(the) best of it

سَأُو۟رِيكُمْ

sa-urīkum

I will show you

دَارَ

dāra

(the) home

ٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَ

l-fāsiqīna

(of) the defiantly disobedient

سَأَصْرِفُ

sa-aṣrifu

I will turn away

عَنْ

ʿan

from

ءَايَـٰتِىَ

āyātiya

My Signs

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

يَتَكَبَّرُونَ

yatakabbarūna

are arrogant

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْأَرْضِ

l-arḍi

the earth

بِغَيْرِ

bighayri

without

ٱلْحَقِّ

l-ḥaqi

[the] right

وَإِن

wa-in

and if

يَرَوْا۟

yaraw

they see

كُلَّ

kulla

every

ءَايَةٍۢ

āyatin

sign

لَّا

lā

not

يُؤْمِنُوا۟

yu'minū

(will) they believe

بِهَا

bihā

in it

وَإِن

wa-in

And if

يَرَوْا۟

yaraw

they see

سَبِيلَ

sabīla

(the) way

ٱلرُّشْدِ

l-rush'di

(of) the righteousness

لَا

lā

not

يَتَّخِذُوهُ

yattakhidhūhu

(will) they take it

سَبِيلًۭا

sabīlan

(as) a way

وَإِن

wa-in

but if

يَرَوْا۟

yaraw

they see

سَبِيلَ

sabīla

(the) way

ٱلْغَىِّ

l-ghayi

(of) [the] error

يَتَّخِذُوهُ

yattakhidhūhu

they will take it

سَبِيلًۭا ۚ

sabīlan

(as) a way

ذَٰلِكَ

dhālika

That

بِأَنَّهُمْ

bi-annahum

(is) because they

كَذَّبُوا۟

kadhabū

denied

بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا

biāyātinā

Our Signs

وَكَانُوا۟

wakānū

and they were

عَنْهَا

ʿanhā

of them

غَـٰفِلِينَ

ghāfilīna

heedless

وَٱلَّذِينَ

wa-alladhīna

And those who

كَذَّبُوا۟

kadhabū

denied

بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا

biāyātinā

Our Signs

وَلِقَآءِ

waliqāi

and (the) meeting

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

l-ākhirati

(of) the Hereafter

حَبِطَتْ

ḥabiṭat

worthless

أَعْمَـٰلُهُمْ ۚ

aʿmāluhum

(are) their deeds

هَلْ

hal

Will

يُجْزَوْنَ

yuj'zawna

they be recompensed

إِلَّا

illā

except

مَا

mā

(for) what

كَانُوا۟

kānū

they used to

يَعْمَلُونَ

yaʿmalūna

do

وَٱتَّخَذَ

wa-ittakhadha

And took

قَوْمُ

qawmu

(the) people

مُوسَىٰ

mūsā

(of) Musa

مِنۢ

min

from

بَعْدِهِۦ

baʿdihi

after him

مِنْ

min

from

حُلِيِّهِمْ

ḥuliyyihim

their ornaments

عِجْلًۭا

ʿij'lan

a calf

جَسَدًۭا

jasadan

an image

لَّهُۥ

lahu

[for] it

خُوَارٌ ۚ

khuwārun

(had) a lowing sound

أَلَمْ

alam

Did not

يَرَوْا۟

yaraw

they see

أَنَّهُۥ

annahu

that it

لَا

lā

(could) not

يُكَلِّمُهُمْ

yukallimuhum

speak to them

وَلَا

walā

and not

يَهْدِيهِمْ

yahdīhim

guide them

سَبِيلًا ۘ

sabīlan

(to) a way

ٱتَّخَذُوهُ

ittakhadhūhu

They took it (for worship)

وَكَانُوا۟

wakānū

and they were

ظَـٰلِمِينَ

ẓālimīna

wrongdoers

وَلَمَّا

walammā

And when

سُقِطَ

suqiṭa

(it was made to) fall

فِىٓ

fī

into

أَيْدِيهِمْ

aydīhim

their hands

وَرَأَوْا۟

wara-aw

and they saw

أَنَّهُمْ

annahum

that they

قَدْ

qad

(had) indeed

ضَلُّوا۟

ḍallū

gone astray

قَالُوا۟

qālū

they said

لَئِن

la-in

If

لَّمْ

lam

not

يَرْحَمْنَا

yarḥamnā

has Mercy on us

رَبُّنَا

rabbunā

Our Lord

وَيَغْفِرْ

wayaghfir

and forgive

لَنَا

lanā

[for] us

لَنَكُونَنَّ

lanakūnanna

we will surely be

مِنَ

mina

among

ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ

l-khāsirīna

the losers

وَلَمَّا

walammā

And when

رَجَعَ

rajaʿa

returned

مُوسَىٰٓ

mūsā

Musa

إِلَىٰ

ilā

to

قَوْمِهِۦ

qawmihi

his people

غَضْبَـٰنَ

ghaḍbāna

angry

أَسِفًۭا

asifan

and grieved

قَالَ

qāla

he said

بِئْسَمَا

bi'samā

Evil is what

خَلَفْتُمُونِى

khalaftumūnī

you have done in my place

مِنۢ

min

from

بَعْدِىٓ ۖ

baʿdī

after me

أَعَجِلْتُمْ

aʿajil'tum

Were you impatient

أَمْرَ

amra

(over the) matter

رَبِّكُمْ ۖ

rabbikum

(of) your Lord

وَأَلْقَى

wa-alqā

And he cast down

ٱلْأَلْوَاحَ

l-alwāḥa

the tablets

وَأَخَذَ

wa-akhadha

and seized

بِرَأْسِ

birasi

by head

أَخِيهِ

akhīhi

his brother

يَجُرُّهُۥٓ

yajurruhu

dragging him

إِلَيْهِ ۚ

ilayhi

to himself

قَالَ

qāla

He said

ٱبْنَ

ib'na

O son

أُمَّ

umma

(of) my mother

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلْقَوْمَ

l-qawma

the people

ٱسْتَضْعَفُونِى

is'taḍʿafūnī

considered me weak

وَكَادُوا۟

wakādū

and were about to

يَقْتُلُونَنِى

yaqtulūnanī

kill me

فَلَا

falā

So (let) not

تُشْمِتْ

tush'mit

rejoice

بِىَ

biya

over me

ٱلْأَعْدَآءَ

l-aʿdāa

the enemies

وَلَا

walā

and (do) not

تَجْعَلْنِى

tajʿalnī

place me

مَعَ

maʿa

with

ٱلْقَوْمِ

l-qawmi

the people

ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

l-ẓālimīna

(who are) wrongdoing
